A Dusun ethnic couple chose Islam as their way of life by reciting the Islamic Oath at a Conversion Ceremony held in Kampung Long Mayan, Tutong District, 1st January 2026. The total number of people who have converted to Islam in Brunei Darussalam in 2025 is 274. Of the total, 70 are from the Tutong District.

Present was Yang Berhormat Haji Mohamad Danial @ Tekpin bin Ya'akub, Member of the Legislative Council. Awang Zaman bin Yala AND Dayang Niat binti Inggong are now known as Awang Muhammad Zaman bin Abdullah Yala, and Dayang Nur Alniyyah Husna binti Abdullah Inggong.
